If you were mine for today,
would you terribly mind?
If I ask you to come with me
and leave everything behind?
If you were mine for a day,
how would you feel?
If I write you love poems
while you listen and sit still?
If you were mine for a day,
what should I do?
But savor every second,
minute, and hour with you.
If you were mine for eight hundred thousand seconds or so,
will you be fine?
If I ask another eight hundred thousand seconds
or so, of your time?
If you were mine for fourteen hundred forty minutes,
where shall we go?
Anywhere and everywhere
if time can go slow.
If you were mine for 24 hours,
what would I say?
Except, "I will love you always,
more than I did today."
